Work Supervision

Time, attention and respect for exploring work and working communities.

Work Supervision
The one who has never faced adversity does not know their own strength.— Ben Johnsson

The supervisor explores work, the working community and work-related questions, experiences and emotions together with the person receiving supervision, either individually or as a group. The supervisor is not a manager or a mentor, but helps the participant examine working habits and become aware of thoughts, attitudes and feelings.

New perspectives on work

Solution-focused thinking is useful when setting goals and increasing mental wellbeing. The participant may be an employee, specialist, manager or chief executive. The purpose is to release the resources, creativity and thinking of staff and to develop wellbeing, work and working ability.

Work supervision is not therapy, although it can have therapeutic effects. It can be offered to whole working groups and organisations. Together we can create new and better working habits and processes.

Work supervision has been used in Finland since the 1970s and today it exists in practically all fields. It can support experts, project managers, managers and organisational leaders. My work is based on interaction and structuring questions, experiences and feelings related to work and the working community.

As a member of Suomen Työnohjaajat ry, Ratkes ry and SFiO, I follow the principles represented by these associations.
